Encountering the Police

Please, do not run away from the police, a lot of the time to police will stop you just for political reasons, and not because you have done anything wrong. So if a cop tries to talk to you, don't run, because once you run. The cop will add a charge onto you, for it.
If you have committed a crime, and try to run away 9 times out of 10 you will be tazed, the tazer is a weapon used to stop a suspect who is trying to escape the law. So if you manage to get it to trouble in the first place, just role play with us and you will probably be let off with a ticket.
We can only pull people over on what we have seen our selves, we can only perform an act against a person if we see the offense or we can use /mdc. For example if someone has attacked you, all we can do is ask them a few questions about it.

Helping
Although we like the fact you’re helping the police, on many occasions it just makes it harder for us. So the
best thing to is probably stay out of the area if something is going down, e.g. if we are chasing someone in a car and you try to tag along, it just makes it more complicated for us cops.
Complaints
If a member of the Los Santos Police Department is being a fag, e.g. attacking you for no reason, or /su'ing you when you have done nothing wrong, just screen shot it and post it on the forums in the complaints section.

To all Applicants

Stage 1 - Application process, this may take a day or 2, until a senior officer has read over your application and accepted or denied it.
Stage 2 - If you're accepted you will get an exam posted to you, this exam should be messaged to me, and if accepted you will move onto the next stage.
Stage 3 - Ridealongs, You will need 3 in game ride a longs to become a cadet officer, you must message an officer and ask them for a ride along, if they say their busy, they probably are. So call back later. Don't bug them every 5 minutes asking for a ride along. Your officer you a riding with may ask some questions along the way, feel free to also ask him on general Police things. You will need 3 ride alongs with a good answer on your application.
Stage 4 - So you've made it to being an officer. You will be given your cadet blues in game. When you are a cadet you must at all times ride with a senior officer, if there is none online, but there is another cadet, you can ride with him. If no officers or cadets are online, you have 2 options, cruise by yourself of log off.

Your normal day as an officer

When you spawn, you will be inside the LSPD garage, go to the blue doors and type /enter then when you will be inside the Armory, when in the armory do /heal and /duty This will give you full armor and it will give you your standard Desert eagle, mace and a night stick. After this, go back to the doors and type /exit , this will put you back into the PD garage, The only car you shall take is a LSPD Cruiser, unless told otherwise. Next, go out of the PD garage, to get out type /pdgate then when you get out /pdgate to close it. Don't leave this gate open either. Once out, after this, feel free to cruise around Los Santos, keeping it safe.

Procedure of arrest

If someone is generally going against the laws of Los Santos, you should know what they are if you got into the LSPD. Tell them to put their hands up, if they do not, and run, use /taze to taze them, this will restrain them for 30 seconds, in the mean time /cuff them and /detain them, When you have done this, /su them with whatever offenses they have caused, then take them to the PD garage, and give them a fair sentence, this involves the price of the crime, jail time, Bail = yes/no , Bail price. Do not put them in jail for a stupid time for a small offense, e.g. if someone drove erratically do not jail them for like 30minutes, this will get you a demotion.

Weapon usage, this goes Criminal > Officer

1. Fleeing > Taze
2. Fists, blunt weapon > Tazer/Nightstick/fists
3. Any form of fire arm > Deagle

Obey this, if someone is shooting at you, you cannot tazer them. That is abusing that /tazer command.

The basic commands you will need

/taze - This will be the most used command, hotkey this if you don't hotkey anything else!
this will taze the closest person next to you, so try to get quite close to the suspect!

/duty - This will put you on duty and do not forget, when you get online, go on duty. Otherwise your very limited on the things you can do.

/cuff - use this to cuff and person who is tazed or has /handsup. /cuff [ID]

/detain - This will put the cuffed criminal into the back seat of your car, to drive them to the PD. /detain [ID] [seat 1-4]

/arrest - You will use this when in a car with your detained suspect, give them a fair punishment, do not abuse this command!

/su - This is used when a person has committed a crime, simply /su [ID/part of name] [Reason]
Do this at the soonest time possible after they have committed an offense.

/m - This is used for crowd control situations, this is very affective when a gang is crowding around your car.

/help for the other commands while you are in game. These are just the basic ones you will need.

Vehicles, Do's and Don'ts

O.K. When your on duty and all that stuff, it comes to getting a car. The only car you must take is the normal Police car, either black and white or brown and white.
Ranks 5+ Can use Police cars + The Police Rancher and Mechanic Car.
You must not take the following: Police Bike, Swat Van, Swat Tank(blue), Swat Jeep(blue).
Unless I order you otherwise, don't listen to anyone else online, unless me, or Co-Chief.

Skins for Ranks

Cadet - You MUST Wear the cadet skin, the guy with the light blue T-shirt.
Ranks until 5+ - You Must Wear Any officer in the black suits.
Ranks 5-7 - You can Wear Any officer in black suits, or the Officer in light brown. (not the sheriff guy)
Ranks 8+9 - You can wear any of the past mentioned, not including cadet. But you can also wear the Sheriff guy with the light brown shirt, not the dark shirt.

Sometimes, in some situations. The highest ranking officers online, or maybe even lower ranks will be told to change their skin to Bike cop(which will drive bike in the situation).
Swat Guys(which will drive swat van, or the blue Swat tank/jeep)
On any level can you wear these skins: Guy in suit with red tie, Woman in blue suit, Sheriff with dark T-shirt or The C.I.A Guy.
